Riga Central Market

A market in huge hangars in Riga.
Riga Central Market is one of Europe’s largest and has been part of the city’s daily life for almost a century. The market’s page says thousands of buyers and sellers meet there daily. Trade goes on in historic pavilions and an outdoor zone: local products and seasonal treats. The page gives these hours: the pavilions are open 7:30–18:00, the outdoor zone 7:00–18:00, and the farmers’ night market 17:00–7:30. You can eat, for example, at “Perons No.1” with traditional Latvian cuisine, at the fish restaurant “Siļķītes un dillītes”, in the craft brewery “Labietis” or at “Grill Hub”, serving roast chicken and home cooking. Check the times on the website before you go: they change around the Midsummer holidays. (source, checked 2026-10-09)
