Kohtuotsa viewing platform

A viewing platform with a view of the roofs and towers of Tallinn old town.
Kohtuotsa is one of the best-known viewing platforms in Tallinn old town. It was built on the northern side of Toompea Hill in Tallinn, at Kohtu g. 12, in the Kesklinn district. Looking from the hill you see the towers and roofs of the UNESCO-protected Hanseatic town, and beyond them the Gulf of Finland, the harbour and the Pirita coast. Besides the roofs and towers of the old town, you take in a many-sided panorama of Tallinn, and the view itself reveals the city’s unique historic space and rich cultural heritage. The platform is open all year round and around the clock. The official Estonian tourism page says this view is worth seeing in every season and in any weather. (source, checked 2026-10-09)
