Suwałki in brief
Suwałki is a quiet Polish town, 3 h 45 min from Vilnius by the daytime bus, about 3.5 hours by train with a change, and from 1 h 50 min from Kaunas by bus. You come here for the classicist Kościuszko Street, two museums and kartacze. One full day is enough for a weekend.

The town’s tourism portal offers Suwałki as a base for trips to the Suwałki Landscape Park and Wigry National Park (Pogodne Suwałki, in Polish, checked 2026-10-07). In winter a ski lift runs in Dąbrówka (Pogodne Suwałki, in Polish, checked 2026-10-08). You will find a full plan for two days in the guide a weekend in Suwałki (in Lithuanian).
