European Solidarity Centre

A museum and cultural centre in Gdańsk, pl. Solidarności 1, with a permanent exhibition.
The European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk tells the story of the Solidarity movement and the changes it caused in Central and Eastern Europe. The permanent exhibition takes up almost 3000 m² on two floors and consists of seven halls, where visitors spend about 2 hours. It has about 1800 exhibits: from the gantry crane operated by Anna Walentynowicz to the boards with the 21 demands of the 1980 strikers, inscribed on UNESCO’s Memory of the World register. You can buy tickets online on the centre’s website. From October to April the exhibition is open Monday and Wednesday to Friday 10:00–17:00, Saturday and Sunday 10:00–18:00; closed on Tuesday.
