A direct LTG Link train with no changes connects Vilnius and Riga and runs every day. In November the journey from Vilnius takes 4 h 30 min, and a second-class ticket costs €24.00 per person. We checked the times and prices on 2026-10-06. Departure is on 13 November 2026 and return on 15 November. Until 30 November a changed timetable applies because of track repairs. Check your own date in the search.

When the train runs in November

Because of track repairs, the Vilnius–Riga timetable is adjusted from 5 October to 30 November 2026. Source: timetable PDF, checked on 2026-10-06. From 1 to 30 November the train runs via Kaišiadorys, Jonava, Kėdainiai, Radviliškis, Šiauliai, Joniškis and Jelgava. A search for a given date showed these services:

Service Departure Arrival Journey time Price per person (2nd class)
Vilnius–Riga, Friday 13 November 07:04 11:34 4 h 30 min €24.00
Riga–Vilnius, Sunday 15 November 16:55 21:28 4 h 33 min €24.00

A first-class ticket for both services cost €34.00 (LTG Link search, checked on 2026-10-06). The search showed no results for December dates yet, so we do not write December times.

What the train costs compared with the bus

On the same days FlixBus showed a 15:30 service Vilnius–Riga (3 h 40 min) and a 19:20 service back (4 h). We did not check the service fee in the FlixBus basket.

The cheapest FlixBus ticket costs from €8.98 (FlixBus, checked on 2026-10-07), and a second-class train ticket €24.00 (checked on 2026-10-06). The train is more expensive, but it runs straight from station to station. In Riga you can drop in at the Art Nouveau Museum (Alberta iela 12). It is open daily 10:00–18:00, and a winter-season ticket for the whole exhibition costs €5.00 (museum, checked on 2026-10-06). There are more bus services: on 13 November FlixBus showed 18 direct ones. You will find more about them in the guide Vilnius to Riga by bus (in Lithuanian).
