In Riga all the buses from Vilnius and Kaunas that we checked stop in one place: Riga bus station. Its address, according to Lux Express and OpenStreetMap, is Prāgas iela 1. The train arrives at Riga railway station (Stacijas laukums 2). Between the stations it is about 519 m on foot, roughly 7 min. From the bus station to Dome Square in the old town it is about 1 km. We calculated the distances from OpenStreetMap and checked the services on 2026-10-07.

Where FlixBus stops

In the search for 12 December 2026 there were 20 services Vilnius–Riga and 5 Kaunas–Riga. The arrival stop of all of them was “Riga, Bus Station”. On the way back, on 14 December 2026, we saw 17 services in the Riga–Vilnius search and 5 Riga–Kaunas. All left from the same stop (searches: Vilnius–Riga, Riga–Vilnius, Kaunas–Riga, Riga–Kaunas, checked on 2026-10-07).

Where Ecolines and Lux Express stop

On the Ecolines Vilnius–Riga and Kaunas–Riga pages the arrival point is “Riga (bus station)”. The timetable was valid 5 October–18 October (Vilnius, Kaunas, checked on 2026-10-07).

The Lux Express Vilnius–Riga page names three main stops: Vilnius bus station, the Panorama shopping centre and Riga bus station, Prāgas iela 1. Source: page, checked on 2026-10-09. We found no Kaunas–Riga route page on the Lux Express website.

In Riga Lux Express has other stops too: Jugla, Esplanāde and Tērbatas iela. In the company’s news item they are described for the Tallinn–Riga routes, so do not count on them for services from Vilnius or Kaunas (news, checked on 2026-10-07).

Where the train arrives

The LTG Link page says that the address of Riga railway station is Stacijas laukums 2, LV-1050. In the search for 13 November 2026 a service left Vilnius at 07:04 and arrived in Riga at 11:34 (LTG Link, search, checked on 2026-10-07). How far to walk

Distances by the OpenStreetMap pedestrian route, without a suitcase. The positions of the stations are taken from OpenStreetMap objects, so they may differ by a few tens of metres up to the door.

How not to go wrong

1. If you travel by bus, get off at Riga bus station: it is about 13 min on foot from there to the old town.
2. If you return by train, go to the railway station, not the bus station: it is about 7 min between them.
3. Check the stop name in your ticket, especially if you are not buying from FlixBus.
4. Look at the arrival time in local time. On the Ecolines page the time difference between Lithuania and Latvia is given as 0 h.
