Where FlixBus stops in Tallinn

FlixBus from Vilnius and Kaunas reaches Tallinn at two main stops. One is Tallinn bus station (“Tallinn, Bus Station”, Lastekodu tn 46), the other the harbour terminal (“Tallinn Harbour”, Sadama). A few routes end farther out (“Vana-Pääsküla”, “Järve”). So check the name of the stop in your ticket before you buy.

In the search for Friday, 6 November, there were 26 direct services from Vilnius:

• 13 to the bus station;
• 11 to the harbour terminal;
• one each to “Vana-Pääsküla” and “Järve”.

From Kaunas there were 20 services: 9 to the bus station, 7 to the harbour, and 2 each to “Vana-Pääsküla” and “Järve”. On Sunday, 8 November, 34 services left Tallinn for Vilnius: 16 from the bus station, 14 from the harbour, 3 from “Vana-Pääsküla” and 1 from “Virve” (Vilnius–Tallinn, Tallinn–Vilnius, Kaunas–Tallinn, checked on 2026-10-07).

Lux Express and station services

On the Lux Express Vilnius–Tallinn page the arrival point is given as Tallinn bus station, Lastekodu 46 (Lux Express, checked on 2026-10-07). This is the same address as the FlixBus stop.

The station is open daily 05:00–01:00, and the ticket office Monday to Friday 07:30–19:00 (stations, checked on 2026-10-07). There is a waiting room with a travel library and the café Tkohvik (daily 07:30–20:00).

The Cargobus terminal takes luggage for storage. It is open Monday to Friday 07:30–20:00, Saturday 08:00–16:00 and Sunday 10:00–16:00 (services, checked on 2026-10-08).

Since 15 September the platform numbers have changed, so the platform given in a ticket bought in advance may no longer be valid. Look at the real number on the station information screens (news, checked on 2026-10-07).

How to get to the centre

The station is not in the old town. On foot to Town Hall Square it is about 2.3 km (31 min). From the harbour terminal it is 1.5 km (21 min), and between the station and the harbour 2.5 km (33 min). Distances by the OpenStreetMap pedestrian route, 7 October, without a suitcase.

The station’s website says that trams 2 (Kopli–Suur-Paala) and 4 (Tondi–Suur-Paala) and buses 2, 15 and 39 stop on Tartu maantee. Buses 23 and 54 stop on Juhkentali street, and 67 on Odra street. The Tallink Takso, Takso24 and Forus Takso taxis stand at the arrivals platform, and the Bolt stop is by the main doors (transport, checked on 2026-10-07).

How not to go wrong

1. Check the stop in your ticket: the bus station, the harbour or “Vana-Pääsküla” are different places.
2. If you want to walk to the old town, choose the harbour stop: it is closer (1.5 km) than the bus station.
3. You can leave luggage temporarily with Cargobus at the station, but on Saturday and Sunday it is open for shorter hours.
4. Before you leave, look at the platform on the screen.
